Requirements for the design of the article

The journal "Law and State" accepts previously unpublished scientific articles, notes, reports on the results of research in various fields of jurisprudence (preferably of a comparative legal nature), reviews of new scientific legal publications, articles on significant scientific conferences on problems of state and law.

The materials submitted for publication must meet the following requirements:

  1. To contain new relevant information in the field of state and law and the results of original scientific research, previously unpublished and not intended for publication in other publications. The author is obliged to inform the editorial board when submitting the article and other materials – whether they have been published or submitted to other publications.
  2. In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Order No. 13409 dated March 4, 2016, with subsequent amendments and additions) "Scientific article – a statement of one's own conclusions and intermediate or final results of scientific research, experimental or analytical activities, containing author's developments, conclusions, recommendations not previously published and having novelty; or devoted to consideration previously published scientific articles related to a common topic (systematic review). The structure of the scientific article includes the title, annotations, keywords, main provisions, introduction, materials and methods, results (the main part of the article, as a rule, consists of 3 to 4 subsections - ed.), discussion, conclusion, information on financing (if available), references."
  3. Articles are published in Kazakh, Russian, and English. The initials and surname of the author are placed at the beginning of the article (if there is a translator of the article, information about the translator is also provided, with several authors of the article, the corresponding author is indicated), academic degree, academic title, position, department, university, other information about the author's place of work, city, country, e-mail address. After the author's surname – the title of the article, three annotations (at least 5-8 sentences) in Russian, Kazakh and English (with translation of the surname, initials of the authors, place of work of each author and the title of the article). The abstract reveals the relevance of the topic, the subject of the study, the purpose of the work, methods, novelty and the main conclusions of the article. After each annotation there are 10 keywords in the corresponding language.
  4. An article of 10-16 A4 pages should be typed in a Microsoft Word text editor in Times New Roman font, size 14, with one interval and have all the necessary structural elements of the article (see paragraph 2 above). Articles of more than 16 pages are coordinated with the editor-in-chief.
  5. References to sources are given in the text of the article in square brackets and are made out in the form of the number of the corresponding bibliographic reference to the source given in the list of "Literature", indicating, if necessary, the page, for example: [9, p. 12]. In text links containing an indication of several source numbers, the latter are separated from each other by a semicolon, for example: [7; 19, p. 45; 37, p. 201]. References to the sources of publication of the cited statistical data and regulations, including international and foreign ones, are mandatory. At the end of the article, a list of literature is given – the main scientific literature on this topic, including the latest (in the original language and separately in Latin transliteration). The editorial board of the journal "Law and the State" recommends using comparative legal material on a number of countries, study publications on related topics in our journal (see the archive on the journal's website) and include useful ones for your work in the list of references. The numbers of the UDC, GRNTI, the list of references (in alphabetical order) and notes are drawn up in accordance with GOST. When linking to Internet resources, the author, the title of the text, the website /portal, the full email address of the material, and the date of its opening are indicated.
  6. At the end of the article there should be an entry: "the article is published for the first time, has not been submitted and will not be submitted to other publications," the date and signature of the author(s) are put. Information about the author(s) is also placed here: surname, first name and patronymic in full, e-mail address, contact phone numbers.
  7.  To the editorial office you must submit online: electronic version of your article and your photo (preferably - casual, not official (3x4) photo).
